Girl, 9, hurt when car collides with house near Detroit
A 9-year-old girl in Center Line, Michigan was struck by a vehicle crashing into her home early Monday morning while she was asleep in her bed, according to authorities. The incident occurred around 2:54 a.m. near O'Hare Street and MacArthur. The vehicle entered the home, exited through the back, causing the child to be thrown into the backyard where she was found lying on top of a bedroom window. The girl sustained spine, pelvis, and rib injuries but is in stable condition, as reported by Center Line police. The driver fled the scene but was apprehended shortly after and taken into custody at the Macomb County Jail.
