
Georgia State Patrol Officer hurt in crash, transported to hospital
A Georgia State Trooper was injured in an incident in Waycross, Georgia. The Trooper, identified as Justin Jones, was hurt during a chase where his patrol car overturned and ended up in a creek. The collision occurred after a suspect fled a traffic stop that Trooper Jones conducted in Ware County. Following an attempt by Trooper Jones to stop the suspect's vehicle using a precision immobilization technique, his patrol car flipped into the creek. Fortunately, first responders were able to provide medical assistance to Jones and transport him to Memorial Hospital in Savannah. The suspect was apprehended at the scene while attempting to escape on foot.
