Georgetown firefighter dies in off-duty accident
An off-duty firefighter from Georgetown tragically passed away after a collision on Friday. The incident occurred near Wolf Ranch Parkway on Hwy 29 involving a motorcycle and another vehicle. The firefighter, who was not named, was taken to a nearby hospital but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries. The other driver declined transport to the hospital. The Texas Department of Public Safety is looking into the cause of the crash. Georgetown Fire Chief John Sullivan expressed condolences to the firefighter's family and gratitude for the support received from neighboring agencies.
