
Gadsden resident charged in deadly Blount County accident from last year
A man from Gadsden has been formally accused in a deadly head-on crash in Blount County last year. Legal papers reveal that Adam Schottl is facing charges of criminally negligent homicide, reckless driving, improper lane usage, and driving on the wrong side of the road. The charges stem from a collision that took place on U.S. Highway 278, near Snead, on September 15, 2024. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reported that David Davis from Cullman passed away due to the crash. According to court records, Schottl is scheduled for an arraignment hearing on June 23.
