Fundraiser Launched for Family's Only Car 'Totaled' in 5-Vehicle Crash
SAN ANGELO, Texas - A San Angelo family recently started a GoFundMe campaign to raise funds after a collision involving five vehicles left their only car severely damaged. The incident occurred on Wednesday, June 4th close to the 600 block of West 29th Street. Reportedly, a white Chevrolet Suburban crashed into a silver Nissan Sentra while traveling westbound, causing a chain reaction involving multiple vehicles. An officer from the San Angelo Police Department mentioned that the Suburban veered off the road after the initial collision, subsequently colliding with other vehicles in a nearby parking lot. The driver of the Suburban, who may have experienced a medical emergency while driving, was taken to the hospital. The family of four is now facing financial hardship as their sole car was totaled in the crash, pushing them to start a fundraising effort. Johnny Guinan, the organizer of the campaign, explained that they are in need of assistance to either repair or replace their vehicle. Their financial strain was exacerbated by a prior crash a year ago that depleted their savings and led to a change in employment for Guinan. The GoFundMe page has attracted $25 in donations so far to help the family in their time of need. To access the fundraising page, please click here.
