Friant Road segment remains shut after propane truck accident

A portion of Friant Road in Fresno County is still shut down following a rollover accident involving a propane truck on Tuesday. The California Highway Patrol confirmed that the road closure continues as of Wednesday afternoon, with no traffic allowed through. The crash occurred at Willow Avenue and Lost Lake and left two individuals critically injured. Motorists in the area are advised to use North Fork Road or Auberry Road to reach Millerton Lake or the Table Mountain Casino areas. The collision happened around 5 p.m. when a sedan failed to yield at Friant Avenue, causing a collision with an oncoming truck. The impact led to the propane truck overturning and fuel leakage, while the sedan ran off onto the east shoulder. Emergency services transported the severely injured man and woman in the sedan to hospital. Meanwhile, the truck driver sustained minor injuries. Authorities have not disclosed the identities of those involved yet.
