
Four-vehicle crash in Lincoln County: 1 dead, 3 injured
A tragic four-vehicle collision occurred on Highway 61 in Lincoln County, Missouri, resulting in the death of a woman from Old Monroe and injuring three others. The incident unfolded at approximately 4:40 p.m. near the crossover of Route K and Route V, as detailed by the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP). The collision involved a Chevrolet Malibu, Hyundai Sonata, Ford F-150, and Buick Lacrosse. The Hyundai Sonata, traveling eastbound on Highway K, failed to halt at a stop sign at southbound Route 61, leading to a collision with the Chevrolet Malibu. Subsequently, the Hyundai overturned and hit the Ford and Buick, both heading northbound on Route 61. Unfortunately, the 23-year-old female driver of the Hyundai Sonata was pronounced deceased at the scene. Emergency services transported the driver of the Chevrolet Malibu and two passengers to a nearby medical facility for treatment of moderate injuries. The drivers of the Ford F-150 and Buick Lacrosse involved in the crash were reportedly unharmed, as per MSHP's report.
