Four people injured in fiery crash on Highway 1 near Jalama Road
A stretch of Highway 1 is closed in both directions after a crash involving three vehicles Tuesday night. The Santa Barbara County Fire Department says the collision happened just before 6:10 p.m. near Jalama Road.Emergency crews responded to the scene, where one of the vehicles was found on fire. Firefighters extinguished the flames before they spread to nearby brush.Officials transported four people from the scene — two with major injuries and two with moderate injuries. Santa Barbara County Air Support airlifted one patient to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
