Four individuals deceased in German car crash.
Two married couples tragically lost their lives after a British car veered off the road and crashed in Germany. The incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday near a highway in the Kassel district, north of Hesse in central Germany. The driver, a 32-year-old male, along with three female passengers aged 31, 32, and 30, all died at the scene despite the efforts of German emergency services. UK authorities have not been approached for assistance. The car is believed to have left the road and collided with trees approximately 30 meters away around 12.30am on Saturday, according to the Kassel police department. An emergency call was made automatically by one of the victim's phones, prompting the arrival of ambulances, fire engines, and support vehicles. Rescuers found the car overturned and entwined among trees, requiring the roof to be removed to access the passengers. Following this tragic incident, mental health support is being provided to the emergency responders involved. The Reinhardshagen Volunteer Fire Department spokesperson commented on the challenging nature of the operation, emphasizing the importance of processing the events and seeking support within their teams and families. The Hofgeismar police station is leading an investigation into the accident.
