A tragic incident occurred when a vehicle crashed into a furniture building on Detroit's east side early Wednesday morning. Two individuals lost their lives, and two others sustained injuries. The crash happened around 1:45 a.m. near Gratiot Avenue and French Road. The Detroit Police Department confirmed that two victims were declared deceased at the scene, with one of the injured individuals in critical condition at a local hospital. All occupants in the vehicle were adults. The collision caused significant damage to the structure, creating a substantial hole in the building. The Detroit Police Department's Fatal Squad Unit is leading the investigation into the incident.
