
Four die in fiery collision on 605 Freeway in Norwalk, driver facing DUI charges
A tragic incident occurred on Sunday morning on a freeway in Norwalk, resulting in the deaths of four individuals. The event unfolded when a collision between a California Highway Patrol vehicle and a Nissan left the Nissan disabled on a lane of the 605 Freeway. Subsequently, a Kia collided with the stationary Nissan, causing it to catch fire with the four occupants trapped inside. Emergency responders declared all four individuals in the Nissan deceased at the scene. The Kia driver, Iris Salmeron, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol during the crash. The identities of the victims have not yet been disclosed, and investigations into the initial collision involving the CHP are ongoing.
