Four cars collide in rural Whiteside County, injuring two people

The company is cooperating with the Whiteside County Sheriff's Office in their investigation, and is also conducting an internal review of the incident. Earlier in the day, a collision involving multiple vehicles, including a bucket truck, occurred on Route 84. The Sheriff's Office responded to the crash and found that the bucket truck, owned by MidAmerican Energy, had crossed the center line, resulting in a collision with two oncoming vehicles. Fortunately, there were no fatalities, although some individuals sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the bucket truck was issued a citation for improper lane usage. The investigation is ongoing, with the assistance of various agencies involved at the scene. Whiteside County Sheriff John Booker praised the quick and coordinated response of deputies, first responders, and partner agencies involved, emphasizing the importance of roadway safety.
