Fort Worth officers rescue infant in rollover accident

The Fort Worth Police Department is commending two of their officers for their heroic actions in lifting a car and saving an unresponsive baby following a crash on Interstate 30. Chief Eddie Garcia, Sgt. R Nichols, and Officer E. Bounds will address the media on Tuesday. You can view the press conference live at 2:30 p.m. on the video player below. The incident occurred last Thursday morning on I-30 between Eastchase Parkway and Cooks Lane, where a woman and her baby were ejected in a rollover accident. Body camera footage captures the intense search for the baby girl, who was found trapped under the overturned vehicle. Officers, alongside Good Samaritans, lifted the car to rescue the child, who was unconscious at first. Thanks to the officers' CPR efforts, the baby regained consciousness and began crying before being taken to the hospital. Both the baby and her mother are expected to fully recover, according to Fort Worth police.
