Fort Stockton ISD senior dies in car crash
FORT STOCKTON, Texas (KMID/KPEJ)- A senior at Fort Stockton High School died Monday in a car crash, the School District confirmed in a statement this evening. "Our hearts are broken, and we ask our entire Panther community to join us in lifting her family and friends in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time," FSISD said. To support students and staff, the district will have a crisis response team of counselors available to staff and students throughout the day on May 13. Additionally, an animal therapy team with several support animals will be on campus beginning at 10:00 am and representatives from the Ministerial Alliance will be available to those needing spiritual support. "We encourage anyone who needs comfort and support to take advantage of these resources," the district said. Details of the crash, nor the name of the student, have been publicly released.
