UPDATE 5:50 p.m:A 14-year-old boy died after being struck by a truck while crossing Palm Beach Boulevard in Fort Myers, according to witnesses and police."There's a lot of bikers. Through Francisco's translation, Lux described what he saw."The driver he was, he was speeding, and so he didn't, he didn't see the kid. There was a like, couple weeks ago, oh, a year ago. Yeah, there it was at night time. And so they hit somebody at night over here," Francisco said.Francisco also expressed concern about onlookers taking photos at the accident scene and offered his condolences to the family."I know it's for privacy for the family members. They don't want them to take pictures of his, their son's body," Francisco said.UPDATE 9 a.m.:Police said the driver was in a flat-bed truck, and stayed on scene to be cooperative with officers.UPDATE 8:30 a.m.:Police confirmed to Fox 4 the victim is a 14-year-old boy, who was not wearing a helmet at the time.
