Former UFC Champion in High-Speed Accident, Vehicle Flipped Multiple Times
Deiveson Figueiredo, a former UFC flyweight champion who is now ranked in the top 10 at the 135-pound weight class, was recently involved in a serious car accident in Brazil. Thankfully, Figueiredo was able to walk away from the crash without any major injuries and is not anticipated to be sidelined from fighting in the Octagon. Figueiredo shared on Instagram, “Thank God for the deliverance,” expressing gratitude for his safety after the incident. Figueiredo described the accident and thanked supporters for their concern. The 37-year-old fighter had recently secured a split decision victory over Montel Jackson at UFC Rio and is projected to make his return to the Octagon in early 2026.
