Former OSU football player injured in ATV accident

BRADFORD COUNTY, Penn. (WJW) -- A former Ohio State University football player was seriously injured during an ATV accident that also left a passenger dead, CBS Sports, Sports Illustrated and other media outlets reported Sunday. The crash happened the evening of Friday, May 23 in Bradford County, Pennsylvania. According to a report from Pennsylvania State Police, Julian Fleming, 24, and Alyssa Boyd, 23, were riding an ATV when it struck a deer that jumped into the road. Neither occupant was wearing safety equipment, the report stated. Boyd died at the scene. Fleming was hospitalized, but has since been released, police said. The report also noted a deceased deer was located at the scene consistent with damage to the ATV. Fleming was a wide receiver for the Ohio State Buckeyes from 2020 to 2023 before transferring to Penn State for the 2024 season.
