Formal charges in fatal collision involving truck and car in Alexandria
A fatal collision occurred in Campbell County this week involving a semi-truck and a car. The incident took place early Monday at the intersection of AA Highway and Route 709. Per Alexandria Police, initial findings suggest the semi-truck driver ran a red light, striking another car in the process. Sadly, Shirley Yeary, a 62-year-old from Falmouth, lost her life in the crash. Alexandria Police have since charged Brian Ashmore, a 41-year-old from Ewing, Kentucky, with reckless homicide in relation to the accident. An arrest warrant has been issued for Ashmore.
