Five people injured in Pingree Grove crash
A single-vehicle rollover crash in Pingree Grove on Friday evening resulted in five individuals being transported to the hospital, according to authorities. The incident occurred at the junction of Route 72 and Big Timber Road at approximately 5:36 p.m. Emergency responders were informed that the vehicle had overturned and that there were five victims onboard. Upon arrival, emergency crews discovered significant damage and one individual who had been thrown from the vehicle. More ambulances were dispatched to the area, and all five individuals were subsequently taken to a nearby hospital. The eastbound side of Route 72 was partly shut down for approximately 45 minutes as emergency personnel worked on clearing the site. Details such as the names and conditions of those involved have not been disclosed, and the cause of the rollover remains unknown. The Kane County Sheriff's Office has taken over the investigation.
