Five people in hospital after a rollover accident in Pingree Grove
A single-vehicle rollover crash in Pingree Grove sent five individuals to the hospital on Friday evening, according to officials. The incident occurred at the intersection of Route 72 and Big Timber Road around 5:36 p.m., where emergency responders were informed about the rollover and the five injured individuals. Upon arriving at the scene, crews discovered significant damage and one individual had been ejected from the vehicle. Additional ambulances were dispatched to transport all five individuals to a nearby hospital. The eastbound lane of Route 72 was partially closed for approximately 45 minutes as emergency crews worked to clear the area. Authorities have not disclosed the identities or conditions of those involved in the crash, nor have they determined the cause of the rollover. The Kane County Sheriff's Office is leading the investigation into the incident.
