
Five people hurt in collision on Highway 59 near Lawrence
Five individuals were hospitalized following a collision on U.S. Highway 59 near Lawrence, Kansas, as reported by the Douglas County Sheriff's Office. The incident took place at East 1100 Road at approximately 4:45 p.m. after a driver traveling westbound failed to stop at a stop sign, resulting in a collision with a vehicle heading southbound. The sheriff's office confirmed that three occupants in the westbound vehicle sustained injuries, with two in serious condition, while two individuals in the southbound vehicle also suffered serious injuries.
