
Five individuals injured in collision between two vehicles
An accident involving two vehicles occurred near FARMERSBURG, Ind., resulting in five individuals being injured, with one requiring extrication. The incident happened just before 4 p.m. on Wednesday and involved a collision between a 2016 Toyota Prius and a 2005 Toyota Prius at the intersection of U.S. Highway 41 and State Road 246. Authorities from the Vigo County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene. The occupants of the 2016 Prius, four in total, were taken to Union Hospital, with three sustaining minor injuries, while one passenger needed to be extricated, and the severity of their injuries remains unknown. The driver of the 2005 Prius was also transported to Union Hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening. The authorities have ruled out drugs or alcohol as factors contributing to the accident.
