First court appearance for driver involved in deadly SUV collision

A woman involved in a fatal crash in Terre Haute has appeared in Vigo County Court to face eleven charges, including neglect of a dependent resulting in serious bodily injury and causing death while driving intoxicated. Misty Casey pleaded not guilty after prosecutors alleged she caused the accident that killed two teenagers by driving under the influence. The incident occurred when Casey failed to stop at a stop sign, colliding with a pickup truck. Witnesses reported seeing her driving recklessly and at a high speed. Authorities revealed her blood alcohol level was well above the legal limit, and she tested positive for THC. Casey's trial is scheduled for December 2nd, and she is currently held on a $100,000 bond.
