Fifth Fatality in Chatham, Illinois After-School Program Crash
An 8-year-old boy has tragically passed away over a month after a devastating car accident occurred at an after-school program in Chatham, Illinois. This heartbreaking incident resulted in the fifth casualty of the crash. Sangamon County Coroner's office has confirmed that the young victim, Bradley Lund, had been hospitalized and sadly succumbed to multiple blunt force injuries sustained in the accident. The crash, which occurred on April 28, claimed the lives of four other individuals and left five children injured. The driver, Marianne Akers, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, has been cooperative with authorities. The investigation into the crash, which police believe was not intentional, is ongoing.
