Fiery SE Bakersfield crash leaves 1 dead, 2 injured
A fatal accident occurred in southeast Bakersfield late Tuesday night, resulting in one fatality and two individuals sustaining injuries. The collision, involving a Dodge Charger and a white BMW, was captured on video at the intersection of Union and East California Avenues. Speed and alcohol are believed to have contributed to the crash, as mentioned by law enforcement officials. The driver of the Charger succumbed to major injuries at the hospital, while the BMW driver and a passenger were also hospitalized with varying levels of injuries. The investigation is still ongoing, and the Kern County Coroner's Office will provide the identity of the deceased Charger driver at a later time.
