Fiery collision on I-70 in Howard County claims lives as truck and trailer catch fire, per police
Maryland State Police reported a fatal collision on Interstate 70 East near Sand Hill Road early Thursday morning, leading to the closure of all lanes. According to preliminary findings, a fiery crash involving a tractor-trailer and a pickup truck towing a trailer occurred shortly after 4:15 a.m. Tragically, the driver of the pickup truck was killed in the incident, while the tractor-trailer driver escaped unharmed. State police were still investigating the scene as of 7 a.m., with the eastbound lanes of I-70 remaining closed.
