Fayette County man dies in bike accident
MONTGOMERY, WV (WVNS) -- A Fayette County man died in a reported bike accident after falling off of a bridge in West Virginia. According to Paris Workman, the Montgomery Chief of Police, 55-year-old Tony Brown, of Smithers, died on Monday, April 14, 2025 after a bike accident on the Montgomery Bridge. Workman stated that Brown was crossing the Montgomery Bridge on an electric bike when he turned onto the ramp towards Smithers and reportedly turned too far and hit the side of the bridge. According to Workman, Brown then went over the side of the bridge and fell onto Route 60.
