Father of crash victim charged with attacking Mississippi firefighter

In Copiah County, Mississippi, a man surrendered himself to authorities for reportedly attacking a firefighter who had responded to a tragic accident. The man, identified as Kenmantel Davis, has been charged with simple assault of a firefighter. The accident occurred in the early hours of August 3 on Lilly Road, involving three vehicles. Tragically, one of the drivers, Ken'Zavion Brown, lost his life in a head-on collision. Another individual was taken to Copiah County Medical Center and later airlifted to the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. During the response to the accident, four volunteer firefighters were reportedly assaulted. Sheriff Byron Swilley stated that one of the firefighters filed a complaint against Davis, who is Brown's father. Following the accident investigation, deputies were able to reach out to the driver of the third vehicle involved.
