Father of 4 in Los Banos dies when excavator flips
The Fresno County Coroner's Office has identified the man who tragically lost his life in an accident involving an excavator in Fresno County. The worker, identified as 35-year-old Jonathan Swarthout of Los Banos and a father of four, was operating the excavator at Academy Quarry when it overturned against a boulder, trapping him inside on Tuesday morning. Despite efforts by emergency responders, Swarthout succumbed to injuries sustained in the incident. The California Occupational Safety and Health Administration is conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident.
