Fatality of West Lafayette man in Ohio plane accident
A man from Indiana tragically lost his life in a plane crash in Ashland County, Ohio. The incident occurred on Monday evening and involved a small plane piloted by 72-year-old Gary Wolfelt. Wolfelt, who is from West Lafayette, was the sole occupant of the Express 2000 FT aircraft that went down in the woods near State Road 89 and Township Road 902. The crash is being investigated by local authorities as well as agencies such as the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Ashland County Sheriff's Office, and the National Transportation Safety Board.
