Fatality in serious accident on key road, official confirms
An investigation is underway in Greenville County following a fatal crash on Interstate 385 south at Exit 37, the Roper Mountain Road exit. The accident occurred at 11:30 p.m. on Sunday and involved two southbound vehicles, one of which was a dump truck. Emergency responders were alerted by a 911 call. The driver of the dump truck was critically injured and taken to Greenville Memorial Hospital, where he tragically passed away shortly before 1 a.m. on Monday. The victim's identity has not been disclosed at this time.
