Fatality in rollover crash at Parley’s Canyon entrance
The on-ramp from Parley's Canyon onto the northbound lanes of I-215 has been closed due to a rollover crash that occurred early Thursday morning. According to Lt. Cameron Roden from Utah Highway Patrol, a sedan veered off the road and into a ravine near Parley's Canyon around 6 a.m. Unfortunately, the adult male driver was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene. There were no other vehicles or people involved in the incident. The reason for the crash is currently unknown. While the on-ramp from I-80 to I-215 has been cleared, the single lane ramp to westbound I-80 remains closed. Traffic flow on I-215 and I-80 has not been significantly affected by the crash, aside from some minor slowdowns.
