Fatality in Richfield Springs car crash.
Richfield Springs, NY - New York State Police reported that a tragic car accident at the intersection of Route 20 and Skinner Road in Richfield Springs resulted in one fatality. The incident occurred around 9:30 am on Tuesday, November 4, when a vehicle veered off the road and into a nearby pond. Upon responding to a 911 call, troopers found a deceased woman inside the vehicle. Initial findings suggest that the 39-year-old female driver failed to stop at the intersection while travelling on Cole Hill Road. Additional support in the recovery efforts was provided by the New York State Underwater Recovery team, Richfield Fire Department, and Richfield EMS Corps.
