Fatality in lawn mower mishap
In Darke County on Sept 1, a tragic incident occurred where a man, identified as 67-year-old Michael Roth, lost his life after being trapped under his lawn mower. This unfortunate event took place at the intersection of Coletown-Lightsville Road and Zumbrum Road. Emergency services responded to the scene where it was found that the man was mowing a steep side ditch when his Toro lawn mower lost traction, causing it to slide and overturn, trapping him underneath. Despite the efforts of first responders from various agencies, the man succumbed to his injuries. An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
