Fatality in Gallatin County motorcycle accident
A tragic incident occurred on August 4, 2025, near Great Falls when a man, hailing from Spokane, Washington, lost his life in a crash as reported by the Montana Highway Patrol. The 56-year-old motorcyclist was traveling west on Interstate 90 between Bozeman and Livingston, near mile marker 317. He tragically lost control of his motorcycle while navigating a left-hand curve, causing the vehicle to veer off the road's right side. The presence of loose gravel further complicated the situation, resulting in the driver being thrown from the motorcycle. Despite being rushed to Bozeman Health Deaconess Regional Medical Center, he succumbed to his injuries on August 7. While wet conditions and speeding are believed to have played a role in the crash, impaired driving is not suspected. The identity of the deceased has not been disclosed at this time.
