Fatality as Velva man crashes motorcycle in Minot
A tragic incident occurred in Minot on Monday night as a 26-year-old Velva resident lost his life in a collision between two vehicles. According to the Minot Police Department, the accident occurred just before 8 p.m. on June 23 in the 800 block of 37th Ave SE. The young man was traveling east on a motorcycle at a high speed when he lost control while approaching a curve. He veered into the westbound lane and collided with a Dodge Ram. Despite wearing a helmet, the motorcyclist sustained fatal injuries. The driver of the Dodge Ram, a 35-year-old man from Minot, suffered only minor injuries. While the crash is currently being investigated, authorities have noted that weather and road conditions were reported as favorable at the time of the incident.
