Fatality as Aston Martin crashes into pole during pursuit in Los Angeles
A brief chase turned tragic as a driver crashed into a light pole in the Boyle Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles early Friday morning. The pursuit began at 3 a.m. when California Highway Patrol officers started chasing the driver of a silver Aston Martin who was speeding in the area of South Soto Street and Whittier Boulevard. The driver eventually collided with the pole near Soto Street and Washington Boulevard, resulting in a fatal outcome. Although the driver initially tried to escape on foot, they were later pronounced dead at the scene. The intersection at Soto Street and Washington Boulevard was closed for investigation.
