Fatalities in multi-car collision
A tragic incident occurred on Tuesday in Boonville, resulting in the loss of a 29-year-old woman's life. Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol reported that a multi-vehicle collision took place on Route 12 during the afternoon. The crash involved four vehicles and caused injuries. According to the Sheriff's investigation, the collision occurred when a Ford sedan was rear-ended by a pickup truck while waiting to turn left into a driveway on Route 12. This impact pushed the sedan into the northbound lane, where it collided with a jeep. Subsequently, the sedan was struck on its passenger side by another pickup truck towing a trailer. Unfortunately, the driver of the sedan, the 29-year-old woman, was pronounced dead at the scene. The other drivers involved in the crash were identified as Edward Wolf, 75, of Ohio, NY, Thomas Kristoff, 59, of Boonville, and Robert Perry, 54, of Manorville, NY. Wolf was taken to Wynn Hospital in Utica for treatment and was reported to be in stable condition. Kristoff and Perry were evaluated at the scene and declined further treatment. Multiple law enforcement agencies responded to the incident, while the New York State DOT assisted in closing Route 12. The investigation is still ongoing, and more information may be provided later.
