Fatal wrong way crash in Colorado
The Colorado State Patrol is investigating a tragic crash that occurred on Highway 76 Friday night. A driver traveling in the wrong direction caused a collision that led to a fatality. The driver of a GMC Sierra pickup truck was heading east in the westbound lanes when the incident occurred near County Road MM3. A Honda driver tried to avoid the truck but was struck on the front passenger side. The truck then rolled over, while the Honda went off the road. The passenger in the Honda, a 44-year-old man, was fatally injured, while both drivers sustained minor injuries. The incident is under investigation, and charges are pending.
