Fatal wrong-way collision in Upstate New York
Three individuals have tragically lost their lives in a serious multi-vehicle collision in Spartanburg County. The incident occurred early Sunday morning on I-85, near mile marker 75, involving three vehicles. The crash was caused by a Honda Sedan traveling in the wrong direction on the northbound lanes. The Honda collided head-on with a Toyota Sedan and subsequently with a Ford Expedition. Sadly, the Honda driver and both occupants of the Toyota were pronounced dead at the scene. Fortunately, the driver and five passengers in the Ford Expedition survived with no major injuries. The northbound lanes on I-85 were temporarily closed but have now reopened.
