Fatal workplace accident in Rockford leads to man's death
A tragic workplace accident in Rockford has claimed the life of a local man, as reported by authorities. The incident occurred at C&I Stone Design, and emergency services responded to the scene in the afternoon hours of Thursday. The victim, Prada Dominguez, aged 38, was working alongside a colleague to relocate a heavy stone slab when the accident transpired. Despite efforts by the fire department to free Dominguez after being pinned by the stone, he sadly did not survive. Both the Winnebago County Coroner's Office and Rockford Police Department are conducting an inquiry into the incident.
