Fatal workplace accident in Holland
Emergency responders from the Holland Department of Public Safety were called to LG Energy Solutions on Sunday evening following reports of an incident in the workplace. First responders arrived at the facility on 875 E 48th St in Holland City just after 5:00 p.m. to discover a man trapped partially in a machine. Tragically, the victim, identified as Kim Jung Won from Korea, had succumbed to his injuries. Authorities confirm that no life-saving measures were taken at the scene. Mr. Kim was an employee of LG PRI, a vendor company involved in the automation of machinery at the LG Energy Solutions site. There are no suspicions of foul play in this incident, and the Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MIOSHA) is conducting an investigation.
