Fatal workplace accident at Dundee Stellantis plant
Tragically, an employee passed away this morning in an accident at the FCA Dundee Stellantis plant. The company has confirmed that the worker, a 63-year-old man from Detroit, was pinned down by machinery. Authorities are investigating the incident, and the company is cooperating with the local authorities to understand what happened. Stellantis extends their deepest sympathies to the family, friends, and colleagues of the employee involved. Counselors will be available to support Dundee Engine Plant employees during this difficult time. It is noted that layoffs have begun for Stellantis, temporarily affecting 900 workers in Michigan, but operations are scheduled to resume on April 21 after a few weeks.
