Fatal Wisconsin Crash in Baldwin Township

In Baldwin, two young men tragically lost their lives in a head-on collision early one Friday morning, as reported by the St. Croix County Sheriff’s Office. The authorities responded to an emergency call from a cell phone's automatic crash notification around 4:04 a.m. on Friday, July 4, 2025, pinpointing the location on County Trunk Highway (CTH) DD in Baldwin Township. Deputies arrived to find a severe collision between a 2012 Chevrolet Cruze and a 2010 Chevrolet Equinox, both sustaining significant damage. The drivers of the vehicles, an 18-year-old male from Emerald, WI, and a 24-year-old male from Baldwin, WI, were sadly pronounced dead at the scene by the St. Croix County Medical Examiner. The identities of the individuals will be disclosed following notification of their families. The St. Croix County Sheriff’s Office received support from the United Fire Department, Baldwin Ambulance, the St. Croix County Highway Department, and the St. Croix County Medical Examiner. This incident marks the fourth and fifth traffic-related deaths in St. Croix County for 2025 and is currently under investigation.
