
Fatal two-car collision in Valley County
A fatal two-vehicle accident occurred in Valley County near the town of Glasgow on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, resulting in the death of one person. The incident took place around 12:20 p.m. close to the junction of US Highway 2 and MT Highway 24. The Montana Highway Patrol reported that a collision happened between a Kenworth T880 driven by a 69-year-old man from Wolf Point and a Pontiac Bonneville driven by an 18-year-old from Glasgow with a 20-year-old male passenger from St. Marie. The Kenworth was traveling eastbound on US Highway 2 and approaching the MT Highway 24 intersection. Unfortunately, the Pontiac driver failed to yield, leading to the collision as the Kenworth driver was unable to stop in time. While the truck driver was unharmed, the occupants of the Pontiac were transported to a hospital in Glasgow. Tragically, the passenger succumbed to their injuries, with the driver expected to recover. The report indicated that the truck driver was wearing a seatbelt, while the Pontiac driver was not. The cause of the crash did not involve impaired driving or speeding.
