Fatal tree accident claims 2 lives on Eureka Road
The California Highway Patrol Auburn Area Office is currently investigating a tragic accident that occurred on Eureka Road, east of Bridle Path Lane, early Sunday morning. The crash involved a BMW M3 that was speeding when the driver lost control, veered off the road, and struck a redwood tree. Unfortunately, both the driver and the passenger on the right front side of the vehicle lost their lives as a result of the impact. The road had to be closed for approximately four hours to allow emergency responders to examine the scene and prepare for its reopening. The California Highway Patrol expressed their sympathies to the families and friends of those involved in the accident and emphasized the potential delays caused by road closures.
