Fatal train-truck collision in Mukwonago; 82-year-old male victim
Emergency responders were dispatched to a train accident at the Bayview Road crossing in Mukwonago on Friday, Oct. 3. FOX6 crews on site observed a pickup truck that had been damaged. According to the Mukwonago Police Department, the collision occurred at approximately 9:25 a.m. Tragically, an 82-year-old man from Waukesha lost his life when his pickup truck was hit by a Canadian National train at the crossing. Thankfully, the crossing gate was undamaged, and the train has since departed. Mukwonago police and the Wisconsin State Patrol are conducting an investigation into the incident, with the cause still undetermined at this moment.
