Fatal train accident in Fayette County
In Fayette County, a tragic train accident resulted in the loss of one life. The incident occurred on July 4, 2025, around 8:30 p.m. near Boonesborough Road. Officials from the Fayette County Sheriff's Office rushed to the scene after reports of a collision between a pedestrian and a train. Reports indicate a man was walking on the tracks when he was struck by the train. Despite immediate response from first responders, the man was declared deceased at the location.
