Fatal traffic accident involving a pedestrian.
The Savannah Police Department (SPD) is currently looking into a tragic incident that took place on October 22 at the intersection of Abercorn St. and East 63rd St., resulting in the death of an adult male pedestrian. The collision occurred around 6:55 p.m., leaving the individual unresponsive after being hit by a vehicle. Emergency services transported the man to Memorial Health University Medical Center, where he was later pronounced deceased. The driver involved in the accident remained at the scene, and as of now, no arrests have been made.
