Fatal tour van accident near Yellowstone Park kills 7, authorities report
A tragic collision occurred Thursday night near Yellowstone National Park, resulting in the deaths of seven individuals. The accident involved a Dodge Ram pickup truck and a Mercedes passenger van on U.S. Highway 20 near Henry's Lake State Park in eastern Idaho. The van, which was operating as a tour vehicle with 14 occupants, collided with the pickup truck that had only one occupant, the driver. Unfortunately, six individuals in the van and the pickup truck driver lost their lives in the crash. The cause of the accident is currently under investigation. The names, ages, hometowns, and nationalities of the victims have not been disclosed pending notification of their next of kin. The road closure at the accident site has been lifted, with regular traffic resuming.
